The Most Important Piece!

Happy New Year to our many, many clients and potential clients! We hope that 2016 was an incredible year for you and want to thank you for making it an incredible year for us! We look forward to 2017 being a year for spectacular weddings......weddings that speak to who you are - and that all your wedding dreams come true!

Our first post of the year is a very important one: How to Select Your Wedding Photographer & Videographer. As you plan for your wedding - from engagement to wedding day - you should have your special moments captured by a professional studio. The earlier you start with your studio, the more that they can capture and preserve for your enjoyment. A good studio actually becomes a part of the family, meets all of your important people before the wedding day, and knows what you like and what you want. This helps to prepare for superb coverage of your day.

Gone are the days when all you expected from your wedding studio was a wedding album and video. An experienced studio also offers many different products that use your photos and video footage: engagement portrait, photo save-the-date, video save-the-date, photo invitations, video love story, photo and video thank you dvd's, photo thank you cards, wedding albums, parent albums, wedding party gifts, photo aisle runners, wedding websites, Facebook Live coverage, drone coverage, etc.! A creative studio also allows you to incorporate every single moment - from "I will" to "I do" - in custom products to share with family and friends.

Some things to consider:

Ask your family and friends for referrals or go to wedding shows to meet them in person. Looking for vendors online is ok but nothing beats a person-to-person meeting.

You should genuinely feel comfortable with whoever will cover your wedding because they are being invited into your "inner circle" on a very special moment in your life.

Make sure the person you meet at the contract signing will be the same person that shows up on the day of your wedding - this is not a time to be surprised!

Make sure your studio has "back-up" staff because life happens!

Studios that have been in business over five years tend to have "staying power" - meaning they'll be around in another five years when your new puppy chews up your wedding album and you need a replacement.

Good luck as you go about making this very important selection for your wedding. Also, please take our Bride & Groom Survey to help us serve our brides better!
